Celebrities often go beyond making appearances in parties and award function. You will be surprised to see your favorite celebrity on screen more often than not. Some may make a short cameo appearance, or some celebrity movies have full-fledged roles for your favorite celebrity. Musicians are one of the most common group of celebrities who have featured in many movies. One of the best-known celebrity movies has been Evita (1996) that featured the pop icon, Madonna. The singer even received a Best Actress Golden Globe award for the role. Following this, she acted in many movies, none of which could match up to the success of Evita. Snoop Dogg
This American artist is a multi-talented personality. He is a rapper, singer, songwriter, television personality, record producer, and actor as well. With over 35 million albums sold worldwide, Snoop Dogg is more known as a rapper than an actor. He has acted in some forgettable movies such as, which very few people possibly know about. However, he has also made appearances in well-known movies such as ‘Starsky & Hutch,’ ‘Training Day,’ and the almost-cult urban horror movie ‘Hood of Horror.’ Apart from these, he has lent his voice to many animated films and documentaries.
Chris Isaak
Chris Isaak is more than a talented singer. The famous, Wicked Games singer-songwriter has featured in some celebrity movies. He had a substantial role as ‘The Clown ‘in the 1988 film ‘Married to the Mob.’ Other substantial movies include Silence of the Lambs where he played the role of a SWAT Commander. This was followed by ‘Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.’ The last celebrity movie that featured Isaak was ‘The Informers’ in 2009.
Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian has donned many hats: model, reality TV show star, celebrity, businesswoman and actor as well. She has starred mostly in reality TV series featuring her own family, Keeping up with the Kardashians, Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, and Kourtney and Kim Take New York. Apart from these, she has featured in some lesser known celebrity movies such as ‘Disaster Movie,’ ‘Deep in the Valley,’ ‘Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor,’ and ‘Ocean’s Eight’ (2018).
Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey is not just a singer of some of the most famous pop songs; she is a record producer, songwriter as well as an actress. She has acted in a slew of celebrity movies over the years. She debuted with the 1999 movie, Bachelor. This was followed by ‘Glitter’ in 2001, which can be considered as one of her not-so-great movies. She was awarded a Razzie for worst actress for this movie. The movie ‘Precious’ in 2009 showed Carey’s acting caliber. She portrayed the role of a social worker to perfection by toning down her ultra-glamorous avatar to such an extent that she was seen sporting a light mustache for this role.
