5 best jobs to consider if you love traveling

If you love traveling, then you would be keen to know how you can pursue travel careers where you will get paid to travel. Sounds cool, doesn’t it?

For all the wanderers out there, you can quit your corporate jobs and instead try your luck in travel careers where you can have both a job and a passport full of stamps from every country you can imagine.

Here are some travel careers that will help you chase your travel goals:

Cruise employee/ Flight attendant

How great would it be if you get not only to travel and earn but also get free food and accommodation? Yes, it is possible. For this, you will need to become an employee of an international cruise line. There are a variety of jobs in the cruise industry. You can become a dancer, bartender or a continental chef. If not, then you can also get into the technical sector and work as a maintenance staff, electrician or an accountant. Another way to travel is to become a part of cabin crew. An airlines’ cabin crew gets to fly to exotic destinations and explore unknown cities when they are not working. Note that though both these jobs look glamorous from outside, they have crazy hours and might take a toll on your health.

Event planner

Imagine getting paid for planning the Olympics, World Cup or a destination wedding in some exotic destination. Won’t that be great? Since there is a lot of work before, on the event day and after the event, companies hire a significant number of people in the organizing committee. This is your chance to go to a foreign place, organize the event and explore the country in your free time. As an event coordinator, you get to meet international vendors, choose the venue and make things happen.

Freelancer

You might have noticed that freelancing has become popular worldwide. Today, people are leaving their full-time job for gigs. The best part about freelancing is that you have the liberty of working from anywhere in the world. You can become a freelance writer, photographer, music artist, in short, you can pick any art career that does not require you to be at one place.

Niche skill teacher

If you know what you’re good at, why not pursue it in a foreign country and earn? You can be a dancer, singer, ski instructor or a yoga instructor; you can travel and teach these skills to locals. You can be a yoga instructor in Hawaii or a ballet teacher in Bali and live the local life.

Tour guide

If you don’t want to do any of the above, you can simply become a tour guide in a foreign country. All that you need is a sound knowledge of the city, and you should be a peoples person. To be a tour guide, you need to be an outgoing person who loves showing people around the city.

If you are passionate about traveling and see yourself doing any of the above-mentioned travel careers, then take the plunge and go for it. Life is too short to pursue a career that you are not passionate about.
