Board shorts are a fun and adaptive swimsuit style for men. This product can certainly double as a swim trunk or for shorts on the boardwalk. Boardshorts run up to 19 inches in length, and have a style of their own. Be sure to check out the fun prints on these shorts. They range from donuts to sharks and from dip-dyed fabric to patriotic patterns. Fashionable is the word for these type of shorts. They offer comfort and coverage in a style that’s masculine and attractive.

2. Swim trunks

Often confused for boardshorts, the classic swim truck offer durability and protection in a style that generally hits above the knee (unlike boardshorts who typically cover the knee). Most men’s swim trunks come in 16 or 17 inch lengths, so you can decide what length is best for you. Also, elastic waist bands and mesh inserts are double stitched in to the trunks for long lasting, transitional wear.

3. Speedos

Many people don’t realize that Speedo is a brand of sports swim equipment and clothing. Yet this tight style of swimwear has literally been dubbed the “speedo). This style is often worn by  Olympic and competitive swimmers wear because they offer compression and support with no excess material to bog down your swim time.

4. Jammers

Made from a fast-drying combination of lycra, polyester, and nylon, swim jammers are a tighter swimsuit option for men with a longer length. Often worn by professional swimmer or competitors, jammers hug the body for comfort and compression (similar to bike shorts) with added coverage compared to speedos.

5. Swim shirts

Swim shirts offer added top, back, belly, and chest coverage in the water and in the sun. Often worn by surfers and snorkelers, swim shirt offer upper protection from harmful UV rays, particularly if you’re prone to sunburn or plan to be exposed to the sun for long periods. Swim shirts are made of thin, fitting material that doesn’t add extra weight (i.e.,  spandex, polyester, and nylon) but offers good, lightweight coverage while swimming.
