She has been prominent in her work in rescuing animals. Her immense love for animals can be seen from her rescue campaigns, pets, and her being a vegan.

Not just career-oriented

Miley has played a significant role in creating awareness on various social issues. She has started her campaigns and supported other campaigns and organizations. To support the rights of homosexuals and transgenders, she started a foundation called ‘The Happy Hippie’ in 2014. It is an American non-profit organization that has been created to support many issues concerning LGBT people, animals, and homeless youth. The NGO gets donations from regular people, and this money is used to support and provide basic needs to the homeless. Things like food and clothes are also donated to the foundation that later caters to the need of the homeless.

Miley’s Happy Hippie Foundation raises funds through crowd-funding, and in 2015 the foundation managed to raise $200,000 over 24 hours. Her successful career as a musician and actor has helped her influence millions of people to support her cause and to contribute as volunteers and donor.

If you follow her on Instagram and Twitter, you probably know that she has four dogs. She has even adopted a pig as her pet and named it Bubba Sue. Many like to believe that she adopted a piglet to discourage killings of pigs by humans for food. Her Instagram campaign supporting adoption has a hashtag called ‘adoptdontshop’, where she talks about the adoption of animals as real charity work rather than shopping.

Miley Cyrus has shown her support for many other foundations like Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation by performing for them in the past. Other foundations for whom she has performed are Elton John AIDS foundation, Entertainment Industry Foundation, United Service Organizations, Habitat for Humanity, Music for Relief, and more.

Miley Cyrus has been criticized by almost everyone who had once liked her before because of her outrageous behavior, especially after she broke up with her long-term boyfriend turned fiancé, Liam Hemsworth. Despite many hate comments from people who followed her from around the world, Miley has managed to keep moving ahead as a musician and never stopped being a social activist and supporter of different issues that affect her directly or indirectly. She has been vocal about her goal in life, which is to spread peace by creating awareness about animal abuse and equal rights for all human beings.
