  The celebrity gossip that Justin Verlander and Kate Upton got married in Italy on the 4th of November which happened to be just three days after he won the World Series with the Houston Astros broke the internet. Justin Verlander and his model wife both posted an image to their Instagram account on November 6th, 2017. The picture portrayed the couple exchanging “I do’s.”

• Helen Hunt and Matthew Carnahan split

  Helen Hunt and her writer-producer boyfriend, Matthew Carnahan split after 16 years of togetherness. The celebrity gossip reported that the breakup was very messy. Sources report that they have had a rocky relationship for a while and also many on and offs over the years. They share a 13-year old daughter and hence, they tried to keep the relationship going as long as possible. The couple has split up several times, but this time it seems to be different.

• A win for Taylor Swift

  One of the best celebrity gossip news of 2017 was Taylor Swift winning her case against a DJ this August. The jury deliberated for four hours on August 14, 2017, before handing down the decision. The singer had accused former DJ David Mueller of groping her at a meet-and-greet event in June 2013. In a statement after the jury declared the case in her favor, Taylor thanked the judge and her legal team. She also added that she hopes to help those whose voices should be heard and will be making donations to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.

• Don Rickles’ death

  Upon hearing the news that comic legend Don Rickles had passed away at the age of 90 due to kidney failure, John Stamos on April 6, 2017, said, “the world just got a lot less funny and just when we needed it the most.” Don, one of the last links to the old Rat Pack days of Frank Sinatra, was beloved by fellow comics and celebrities alike. Jim Carrey called him the “comic Everest.” Also, Billy Crystal called it a “giant loss.” Late night host Jimmy Kimmel, who was also his close friend stated tearfully, “I know it sounds crazy to say he was too young, but he was because he was youthful and funny and sharp and generous.”

• Selena Gomez’s health condition

  Despite having new music to promote, Selena Gomez seemed pretty quiet over the summer. On September 14, 2017, the celebrity gossip reporters found out why. Selena revealed that she had a kidney transplant those months earlier. She posted a picture on Instagram from her hospital bed showing her holding hands with her best friend, Francia Raisa, who also happens to be the kidney donor. She needed to get a kidney transplant due to her Lupus condition, and she said that she was recovering.
